Service Dogs open up a world of pawsibilities.

  • Service Dog Puppy Raising

    Private Lessons

Private lessons give owner trainers the opportunity to raise their own service dog in home with expert guidance along the way. This is a great alternative to purchasing a fully trained service dog.

  • Board and Train

Board and Train allows your service dog to live with our trainers and learn as they grow. This program used in conjunction with our private lessons provides owner trainers with guidance during the training of their service dog. Programs can be geared toward basic obedience, service dog tasks, public access and more.

  • Fully Trained Service Dog

    Trained Service Dogs for Placement

Don’t want to owner train? From time to time we have service dogs available for placement. These dogs are typically trained for mobility related tasks.

Mark and Jack

Before choosing a trainer for my then 4-month old GSP "Jack", I interviewed several professional trainers in the Gulf Coast area. I chose Happy Hounds, because during my initial meeting with them, Rachel formed a near immediate connection with Jack. Rachel's experience training and working with service dogs was the deciding factor. She literally checked all of the proverbial boxes for me. When Jack was 7 months old, we began his formal training, and in my opinion, it couldn't have gone better. Jack took to Rachel and her methods immediately. I worked with him every day throughout the program, and at the end of his training sessions, he was well on his way to being a superb service dog for me. Jack is an overwhelming success story, he has passed AKC CGC, CGCU, and CGCA, as well as the Public Access Test. As a result of the outstanding foundation he received at Happy Hound, he is an outstanding service dog. We have since moved to Spain, a country where service dogs are not seen much at all. Based on Jack's demeanor and comportment, we have not been denied access anywhere in the 2.5 months that we've been here. Rachel has my complete confidence and trust, and if the need should arise, I would most certainly seek her assistance again.
